Frequently asked Questions

Where will the appointment take place?

As a freelance makeup artist, I work on-location for 90% of my clients. Which means I can travel to you and get you ready for your event in the comfort of your own home, office, hotel, or event location!

How far in advance should I book you?

I recommend at least a month for most appointments and two to three months for bridal appointments.

What do I need to do to prep my skin before my appointment?

I ask that you come with a clean face and no makeup. You may lightly exfoliate prior to your appointment.

What is a Bridal Trial?

A Bridal Trial is the chance for me to sit down with my bridal clients one on one and collaborate with them to create a look that the client will love. It allows the client to be relaxed and confident about the look so on the event date we are all prepped and ready to go. While Bridal Trials are not required, they are strongly recommended. That way you can rest easy on your big day!

How do I book you as my MUA for my next event?

I require a signed contract and retainer to reserve your date. The retainer is applied to your balance that is due two weeks before your date.

What products do you use?

I use professional grade and high end makeup products. Some of my favorite makeup brands I carry in my kit for clients include: Anastasia Beverly Hills, Benefit, Embroylisse, Face Atelier, Hourglass Cosmetics, Inglot, MAC, Makeup For Ever, Marc Jacobs, NARS, Smashbox, Too Faced, RCMA, and Urban Decay.

Do you offer false lashes?

I do offer false lashes. This is a temporary application (no longer than 24 hours), applied with latex- free lash glue. I carry a variety of natural to full volume lashes to help customize any look. They are optional, but strongly recommended!

Do you offer hair services?

I am capable of providing simple hairstyles such as curls, braids, and simple updos. If you are anticipating me providing hair services in addition to makeup, please notify me in advance. An additional fee will apply. I am not a licensed hairstylist. If you are interested in professional hair services, I can recommend some trusted, local professionals.

How soon before my event should I get a facial/ wax?

I would not recommend any facials at least 14 days before your special event.  Facials can bring up unwanted imperfections that may need time to heal. Wax stays on the skin for several days and makeup cannot adhere until all the wax residue is gone. Please make sure these procedures are done far enough in advance, so you can insure your makeup application is gorgeous for your day!

How long will my makeup last?

I only use professional products and techniques to make the makeup last 10-12 hours. Wedding touch up kits are provided after I leave to make ensure your makeup looks great all night.

What forms of payment do you take?

I accept cash, Paypal, personal checks, or Venmo.
